The course aims to provide students with the fundamental concepts of engineering mechanics and dynamics using a project-based and modular teaching model. Students will become familiar with the kinematics and kinetics of a particle and rigid body, including concepts of force and acceleration, work and energy, impulse and momentum and vibrations. These concepts will be discovered through team projects and experiments; hence, the students will connect the theory to real-life problems.
The course will cover engineering mechanics and dynamics subjects, including kinematics and kinetics of particles and planar kinematics and kinetics of rigid bodies. The course content includes force, acceleration, work, energy, impulse, momentum, mass moment of inertia, and free and forced vibrations of mechanical systems.
